November 2008 - Aston Cum Aughton gain Quality Status Award

 

Aston cum Aughton have become the third Parish Council to achieve Quality Status in Rotherham. The hard work and commitment of the Parish Council was recognised at the Parish Network meeting of the 27th November 2008 with a presentation to the Chair of the Parish Council Councillor Pat Wade.

 

January 2008 - Anston gain Quality Status Award

 

Councillor Mahroof Hussain presented Anston Parish Council with a certificate of achievement from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council after being granted 'Quality Status'.

 

November 2007 - Catcliffe Parish Council win Community Award

 

Councillor Mahroof Hussain presented Catcliffe Parish Council with a certificate of achievement from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council after being recognised for its work in the community.

 

This work had been recognised after the outstanding work undertaken during the terrible floods in Rotherham in 2007. Councillor Brian Jolly received the award on behalf of Catcliffe Parish Council.

 

 

April 2008 - Wentworth Parish Council Launch Parish Plan 

 

On the 10th April 2008 Wentworth Parish Council launched their Parish Plan. The Plan is an action based document and will act as a catalyst to enable residents, and those that work in the Parish, to solve problems in partnerhsip with RMBC and other formal bodies and service providers.

 

The launch proved a great success with many local  residents present, the Chief Executive of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council Mike Cuff, South Yorkshire Police, Local Elected Members, Streetpride and the Wentworth North Area Assembly team amongst many others.
