Wickersley Gorse

 

 

Wickersley Gorse is ‘Wickersley’s best kept secret’. Due partly to the ‘hidden’ access at the end of Airmount Close, off Bawtry Road. There is also a pedestrian access at the end of St Alban’s Way.

 

You are most welcome to take a stroll in the Gorse along the many footpaths which criss-cross wooded areas and open gorseland.

 

 

The Parish Council are responsible for Wickersley Gorse, which we part own and part lease from Sitwell Golf Club. The management of the Gorse is by a Parish Council Committee comprising Councillors, Rotherham Council staff and a Gorse Warden. There is a detailed five-year management plan in place for the maintenance and development of the area.
