Bob Mason Recreation Ground, Sorby Way

This ground was renamed from the Sorby Way Recreation Ground in November 2007 in recognition of the outstanding contribution made by Cllr Bob Mason to the Council, Village and this recreation ground through Wickersley Sports Club over 35 years of service.

 

The facility has three football pitches, a pavilion with changing rooms and an all-weather play area including swings and a slide.

 

There are a number of football clubs and a jogging club who meet regularly on the playing fields at weekends. Wickersley Sports Club manages the schedule of games. Contact the Secretary, Marge Mason, on 542295.
