Parks - Coronation Park and Leys Lane Pocket Park
Coronation Park is situated off Laughton Road (the main street in Dinnington) opposite the Dinnington Resource Centre and is accessible to pedestrians only through three separate gates located in the perimeter fence around the Park.
Some seating is available in the park amongst the Flower Planters and Lawns and the Park plays host to the Towns Cenotaph which is well attended every year on Remembrance Sunday.
The Cenotaph is illuminated by selective concealed lighting at night.
The original "Pit Wheel" from the former Dinnington Colliery is centrally located in the Park as a permanent memorial to the Miners who worked at the Colliery.
Leys Lane Pocket Park is situated in a remote spot on the fringes of the Town Council Boundary and like Coronation Park offers some seating and is a pleasant and quiet place away from it all to relax and enjoy the wildlife with views over the rolling countryside.
The two Parks are maintained by the Council's Works and Cemetery Staff.
