Local Amenities

The Council are responsible for a number of parks within Brinsworth, in particular Brinsworth Playing Fields. This is used for a number of events such as Gala Day, Annual Bonfire and regular football fixtures, it also hosts the Bowling Green.

Bowling Green (Brinsworth Playing Fields off Brinsworth Lane)
The Bowling Green is available for use from April to September each year.
The Bowling Club plays competitive matches and always welcomes new members.
Opening times is from 9.00am until dusk each day during the season.
Any member of the public is welcome to play.
Adults £1.30 per hour Children/Senior Citizens £1.00 per hour.
Bowls and Jacks are available FREE OF CHARGE.
Please call into the Parish Office before you play.
We have a Saturday Morning Club for beginners from 10.00am until 12noon which is FREE OF CHARGE.

Brinsworth Playing Fields off Brinsworth Lane
There are a number of football clubs who play regularly on the playing fields at weekends. Currently Brinsworth & Catcliffe Red Rose, Brinsworth Social Club FC, FC Brinsworth, Three Magpies and Yorkshire Terrier all have regular fixtures on our fields. These matches are generally on a Sunday morning from 10.30am.

Howarth Play Area
This is located off Whitehill Lane/Howarth Road by the M1 Motorway. There is a children's play area and an enclosed tarmac area for ball games.

Millennium Park
This is located at the end of Orchard Way (or via a public right of way off Kynance Crescent). There are views from here across Brinsworth and Rotherham and the Council have recently built the Millenium Path which runs end-to-end. There are play facilities and benches.
